Constructing Rainwater Harvesting Tanks
Project Manager: Woody / Paul
Date: 10th-14th Nov (Mon - Fri)
Aim: To discover the level of technical ability needed for successful construction of a rainwater harvesting system.
Objective: To construct two separate rainwater storage tanks from reinforced concrete. Two separate groups will be involved:
The participants will use only the instructions provided by a current NGO's design manual.
Outcome: At the end of the project the two groups will have constructed their tanks with varying degrees of success. The questions asked, the problems encountered and the solutions chosen by them will be the most interesting part of the experiment.
Extras: Possible free lunch during the course of the day. I'm definitely shouting the participants a pint afterwards though!!
